This post is all about Thai Turkey Sliders!
Thai Ingredients – But Make It A Slider
Thai cuisine is known for its vibrant flavors and aromatic ingredients. Some common flavors and ingredients you can expect in Thai food include:
- Lime: Used for its tangy flavor, either as juice or zest.
- Cilantro (Coriander): Adds a fresh, citrusy flavor to dishes.
- Thai Basil: Provides a sweet, anise-like flavor.
- Coconut Milk: Adds richness and creaminess to curries and soups.
- Fish Sauce: Adds a salty, savory umami flavor.
- Chili Peppers: Used for heat, either fresh or in the form of chili paste or sauce.
- Galangal: Similar to ginger, but with a more citrusy, piney flavor.
- Lemongrass: Adds a subtle citrus flavor and aroma.
- Palm Sugar: Provides sweetness to balance out spicy and sour flavors.
- Soy Sauce: Adds depth of flavor and umami to many dishes.
These ingredients are often combined in various ways to create the distinct and delicious flavors of Thai cuisine. Today, we will use many of these in an unexpected, Americanized way so we can still enjoy the Thai flavors during summer grilling season!
