Kelsey is a registered dietitian, an accidental private chef, and a customer-proclaimed spice girl. She grew up in New Orleans where food was at the heart and soul of her city and her family. She moved to OKC in 2017, where she finished her post-graduate program and officially became a Registered Dietitian.
One day, Kelsey was offered an opportunity to cook for a local family. In order to supplement her income during the first year of her career, she took on the challenge and found the opportunity to be incredibly fulfilling. Little did she know, the word about her new private chef services would spread rapidly and the opportunity multiplied.
A few short months later, she quit her job to pursue her newfound passion for cooking for families while continuing to work one-on-one with nutrition clients. During this time, she noticed a gap in the market. Her nutrition clients struggled with flavor and variety while her cooking clients loved the healthy yet flavorful meals. The secret was in her spice blends. It wasn’t long before she had the idea to bottle her famous salt-free sugar-free spice blends, and thus – The Spice Girl Kitchen Seasoning Line was born.
Her spices are for the everyday home cook looking to go on a kitchen adventure, the apprehensive home cook looking to expand their skills, and the spice-obsessed. While her spice blends offer an all-in-one solution to flavor, she wants to take it a step further in this blog. Here you can find inspiration that will ignite your passion for cooking, learn how to create memorable weeknights through simple yet impactful dishes, and find simple recipes to help you get the most out of your Spice Girl Kitchen seasonings!
